129 homes burned to the ground during the recent Yarnell fire. Our mission partner, Randy Elliot, has a unique opportunity to ministry to the families who have lost everything. To help him in this endeavor, we are asking that the body of Palmcroft donate bottled water (single serving bottles and gallon size bottles) and Walmart gift cards. At this point, no furniture is needed because there is no place to store the furniture until such a time that it might be needed.
Prescott Pines Camp has two staff homes that are presently vacant. They desire to make these two bedroom houses available to two families that lost their homes in this fire. The homes will be made available without charge and will include free electricity, water, and trash until early January of 2014. At present, these houses are unfurnished. We need approximately $10 – 12,000 to provide them with beds, dressers, sofas, tables and chairs, refrigerators, washers and dryers. They will need dishes, cooking utensils, towels, and bedding. Plus much more.
If you or anyone you know is skilled or interested in photography, let us know! We’re always looking for people to help shoot events.
We could use some more baristas to serve in Brick House. No experience is necessary. All we’re looking for are people with smiling faces that love to serve. So if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make a mean vanilla latte, let us know so we can plug you in to this fun ministry opportunity!
We are recruiting anyone interested in live production. We especially have need for computer operators (it’s as easy as hitting the space bar).
Helping Hands is a team of talented and dedicated people who love to bless those that have needs for minor home repair. You buy the materials, and we supply the expertise and labor to get it done. Focused on widows and the elderly, Helping Hands is an excellent resource to consider for your need. If you have a need or would like to help someone in need, let us know.
30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World
The “30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World” action starts again from July 9 – August 7, 2013. This call to prayer coincides with the Muslim Fasting month of Ramadan and highlights Muslim peoples across the whole world. World-wide, Muslims live in difficult social, economic and political situations. Often they don’t have education, health or even clean water resources, things that we often take for granted. Unfortunately they also don’t have the freedom of religion nor the opportunity to even hear about the Good News of Christ. The 30-day prayer guide highlights many of the aspects of Muslim life and gives concrete prayer topics from all the corners of the world. It unites Christians, helps them overcome fears of Muslim peoples and encourages faith, hope and love. Join us in prayer during these 30 days.
