Children

Our children’s ministry team is looking forward to meeting you and your family! Stop by the information center located in the lobby of the Education Center, and one of our team members will help you register your child, locate their classroom, and answer any questions you may have. Our desire is that you and your child feel at home here at Palmcroft.

Nursery

Our nursery ministers to children from birth through one year of age. We understand that families must feel confident that their children are being well cared for by loving adults so they can experience worship to its fullest. Our nursery is located next to the Worship Center where trained staff will greet you and your child there; we open 15 minutes prior to the start of any service. Thank you for entrusting the care of your precious little ones to our nursery staff.

Preschool

In our preschool programs (for children two years through kindergarten), we are committed to building foundations of faith. Our leadership understands that preschoolers learn best through guidance and play. We provide a multitude of opportunities by which children learn through everyday activities such as crafts, singing, and other activities. Our learning format consists of “whole hour” teaching. As the children move through various activities, they will be learning Scripture, reinforcing Bible stories, and applying what these stories mean to their everyday lives.

Elementary

In our elementary programs (for children in first through sixth grade), we are committed to assisting parents as their children begin a new life in Christ or continue assisting in the discipleship of these children. Our leadership is sensitive to the needs of each of the children in their care. Your child will have an great time learning that God supplies all of our needs, that children can do great things, that prayer can be as simple as talking to a friend, and much more!

Summer Camp

Summer Camp

Summer camp is for our students who are entering 4th, 5th or 6th grades in the fall of 2013.  We are headed to United Christian Youth Camp (UCYC) in Prescott, AZ July 25th - 29th.  The theme for camp will be LAUNCH: prepare for liftoff!  We will be searching through the journey of Joseph and how he was used to make a difference in the world.  The countdown is sounding and we will shoot for the stars!  Secure your helmets, strap yourself in and get ready to…LAUNCH!

VBS 2013

Vacation Bible School is one of our favorite summer events. This year our theme is Colossal Coaster World. If your kids have never been, VBS is a week packed with games, crafts, snacks, songs, skits and Bible lessons designed to teach your kids about facing fear and trusting God. VBS is the week of June 3 through June 7 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is open to all children who have just completed kindergarten through sixth grade. The cost is $12 per child and is capped at $50 per family. The registration fee includes one free t-shirt per child.

Child Dedication

The act of dedicating children to the Lord was a common practice of blessing among the people of God in both the Old and New Testament periods. Child dedication is tied to the biblical instruction from Deuteronomy 6:4-12 to raise up our children with God-honoring values. It is this responsibility that causes us to think of child dedication as family dedication.

The next child dedication will be May 12.
